FAQ

What is the difference between PLA and PETG for 3D printing?

PLA prints at 190–230°C without a heated bed or enclosure, is biodegradable and great for decorative models. PETG HF is water-resistant up to ~80°C — better for functional parts. ABS withstands 100°C+ but requires a heated bed and enclosed printer.

Do Bambu Lab filaments work in non-Bambu printers?

Yes — all Bambu Lab filaments use 1.75 mm and work in any FDM printer. RFID recognition and AMS integration is exclusive to Bambu Lab printers, but the filament is universally compatible.

How should Bambu Lab filaments be stored?

Store PLA and PETG in airtight containers with silica gel. ABS is especially hygroscopic — dry at 50–60°C in a filament dryer before printing.
